Krug
The connoisseur's Champagne house, Krug is built on the art of blending across many vintages, producing some of the most complex and sought after Champagnes in the world.
History
Founded in 1843 by Joseph Krug, the house was built on a distinctive philosophy: that the greatest Champagne could be made every year by blending across vintages and reserve wines. Krug remains family-influenced under LVMH ownership and is regarded as the most uncompromising of the great houses.
Style and Character
Krug's flagship Grande Cuvée blends more than 120 wines from at least ten different vintages, producing a Champagne of remarkable depth, texture and complexity. The house also makes vintage Krug and two rare single-vineyard wines, Clos du Mesnil (Chardonnay) and Clos d'Ambonnay (Pinot Noir). The Krug Collection offers late-disgorged older vintages.
INVESTMENT NOTES
Why collectors and investors pay attention
Krug combines prestige, scarcity and a devoted following. The single-vineyard Clos du Mesnil and Clos d'Ambonnay are among the rarest and most valuable Champagnes in the world and have a strong collector track record. Vintage Krug and the Krug Collection releases also attract serious investment interest.
